BUENOS AIRES, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Ramon Abila scored a brace as Boca Juniors advanced to the quarterfinals of Argentina's Copa de la Superliga on Sunday with a 3-1 home victory over Godoy Cruz.
Abila struck in the sixth and 56th minutes before a Mauro Zarate free-kick put the result beyond doubt at La Bombonera.
The result gave Boca a 5-2 win on aggregate following their 2-1 win in last week's first leg in Mendoza.
In other round of 16 matches on Sunday, Gimnasia beat Defensa y Justicia 2-0 to complete a 3-0 aggregate victory and Argentinos Juniors drew 1-1 at San Lorenzo to progress 2-1 after both legs.
River Plate, Racing Club, Tigre and Atletico Tucuman also secured spots in the last eight with victories on Friday and Saturday.
The winner of the Copa de la Superliga - Argentina's league cup - will earn a berth in next year's Copa Libertadores, South America's top club competition.
