KAMPALA, July 7 (Xinhua) -- The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has terminated its contract with the national football team coach Sebastien Desabre.
Ahmed Hussein, FUFA communication officer told Xinhua on Sunday that the two mutually agreed to terminate the contract.
Desabre who had been in-charge of the Uganda Cranes since December 2017 helped the team reach Round of 16 at the on-going Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
FUFA said in a statement released earlier that the contract was terminated on July 6. The association did not give any reason but said the decision is the best for both parties.
FUFA hailed Desabre for leading the Cranes to the AFCON 2019 finals and also to the Round of 16 of the tournament.
