JAKARTA, July 24 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian cycling team is optimistic about its chances to secure two gold medals during the 2019 Southeast Asia (SEA) Games, the team manager Budi Saputra said.
"Yes it is true that our target is two gold medals. We have calculated the opportunity," Saputra said.
The forthcoming SEA Games in the Philippines later this year will stage several cycling events, including downhill, cross country, road race and BMX free style, he said.
Saputra said that Indonesian cyclists have opportunity to collect gold medals in each event as they have persistently shown improved performances.
"We keep boosting our preparation for the Games," he was quoted by Tempo.com as saying on Tuesday night.
The 30th biennial regional multi-sport event is scheduled to be held in the Philippines from November 30 to December 11.
