BEIJING, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Tickets to "The Troubadour," a four-act opera by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi to be staged at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing from Oct. 23 to 27, are now on sale.
The NCPA-produced opera tells the story of two biological brothers living in medieval Spain who fall in love with the same aristocratic girl and wage a desperate struggle against each other.
The upcoming performances will be delivered under the baton of Italian conductor Rico Saccani who is well versed in opera art. Vocalists active at the world's top opera houses will sing together with Chinese opera artists during the performances.
This is the sixth classic Verdi opera produced by the NCPA, after "La Traviata," "Rigoletto," "Un Ballo in Maschera," "Otello" and "Nabucco."
