YANGON, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Drugs and weapons were seized from a village administrator's house in Myanmar's Rakhine state, a press release from the Myanmar Police Force said on Friday.
The seizure was made by security forces during their operation in Yathedaung township on Thursday afternoon.
Following a tip-off, the security forces confiscated over 2.48 million WY stimulant tablets, 36 hand grenades and 52 handheld transceivers among other items from the administrator's house located in Thakontaing village.
Investigation has been started and hunt for suspects including the village administrator who fled the scene has been carried out, the release said.
